Cut out drywall cracks

Before blemish repair, you should cut the edges of the cracks on drywall. You won't be able to spackle the little crack holes and repaint the area properly if there are loose ends. It's best to cut them before applying joint compounds and sanding them. Then place mesh tape and some more joint compound before painting it over.

Cracks and small holes are best filled with lightweight drywall mud

The major advantage of this material over its all-purpose counterpart is that it takes shorter to dry. This allows you to achieve great results without wasting time. Additionally, the application of the lighter mud is easier and this ensures greater precision.
